A message from George Westberry...

"It was a day that will never be forgotten! All of the bands were amazing...people had fun and the local media gave it plenty of attention. One of the most popular local radio personalities, Monica from 100.3 was there with family and friends as well, and she has been helping to push the awareness.

To try and thank everyone here would not be possible, there are so many people who worked hard to get this event together.

My ultimate hope was for more awareness, and the segments did use some of the footage where I mention Band of Parents. I was happy to see Elizabeth have so much fun. She did not stay the whole time, but she LOVED "Big Bang Boom" (the band singing kids songs in the video clips)

She did a painting of "The Hall Monitors" and is was great. Lisa got Joey Barnes to autograph it for Elizabeth.

A heart felt thank you goes out to Damon and Tommy for building the websites that got this all started, Jim Mayberry, Ron and everyone at Oasis, and of course all of the musicians who donated their time and talents to the event."

Elizabeth Westberry Needs Heroes!

Granted it's been far too long since this site was last updated and everyone deserves an explanation as to what happened to Mood Cultivation and why exactly we dropped off the map (which is forthcoming), a new pressing matter has arisen that requires everyone's undivided attention.

Elizabeth Westberry's cancer has returned with a vengeance.  After nearly a year in remission, a recent MIBG scan showed multiple spots in the original affected areas as well as a few new ones. Needless to say this is devastating news. The Westberry family is frantically searching for the most sensible option in handling this new crisis and they need your help.

One of the most promising treatment options, an experimental procedure called 3F8 will require multiple trips to NYC. This of course will necessitate many missed days of work for George and a burden of expenses. We've reinstated the Paypal option which links directly to the Westberry account. PLEASE DONATE! This is a tough scenario and every little bit helps. They need you to dig deep folks! If you prefer not to send donations online and would rather mail a check, contact Tommy@MoodCultivation.com for George's mailing address.>

If you would like to follow up on Elizabeth's progress you can visit the Caring Bridge Journal by clicking here. We will also be posting the most recent journal entries on this page (see below). Bookmark it (Ctrl+D on your keyboard) and visit back daily.

Also, feel free to share this with everyone you know. If you would like to post this same information on your MySpace page or in a bulletin, blog or website simply copy the code from the box below. Position your mouse in the box, press Ctrl+A to highlight all of the code. Next press Ctrl+C to copy the code then paste it into your new bulletin, profile, blog or website.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Please visit the link (Embracing Elizabeth) at the bottom for info on a benefit concert being organized by a bunch of local musicians. There are some great bands on the bill (including Joey Barnes, the drummer for Daughtry!) and I feel lucky to be a musician and to have such great friends!

We are all home and just finished trimming our Christmas tree. Elizabeth woke to some nausea this morning, but other than that, she seems to be doing well so far.

She is very excited about Christmas! I am hopeful that she continues to do well so that she can enjoy the holiday and all of the magic it brings.

We feel blessed that we are all home tonight. The plan is to go back to the hospital for the next 4 days to recieve the chemo outpatient.

Thanks for all of the love and support!

Westberry Tribe

If you're receiving an error message regarding the security code you're asked to enter while sending a donation this is a known "bug" with Internet Explorer. In version 6.0 and higher, by default the security settings have been set to reject the "cookies" needed by PayPal. If you have IE Version 6.0 or higher you can fix this by manually overriding the cookie settings. This is done with the following steps:

  1. In Internet Explorer Version 6 & higher select "Tools" then select, "Internet Options"
  2. Select the "Privacy" tab
  3. Select "Advanced"
  4. Click on the box for "Override Automatic Cookie Handling" so that the checkmark shows.
  5. Under First-party Cookies select "Accept"
  6. Under Third-party Cookies select "Accept"
  7. Click on the box for "Always allow session cookies" so that the checkmark shows
  8. Click Ok
  9. Click Ok again
  10. Exit Internet Explorer completely and restart it.

This usually will solve the problem with the Cookies that PayPal sends.

After you are done with your PayPal Session we recommend that you "undo" the above modifications thus resetting your browser back to the default security settings.
